As an adrenaline-filled outdoor activity, rafting in Kenya is mainly done on white water. The most popular location is the Tana River around Sagana, with Rapid Camp and Savage Wilderness being the main operators. Some expedition tour companies also offer rafting trips along the Athi River. Rafting down the Athi is also a unique way to view and interact with wildlife in Tsavo East National Park. Other rivers that offer white-water rafting include the Ruvingaci and Thuci rivers, both located in Embu County.
Although not in Kenya, Jinja in Uganda also offers rafting along the Nile. So, if you are a fan of white-water rafting, you may want to consider drifting down the Athi River while enjoying views of wildlife in Tsavo National Park.
