Taita-Taveta County

Taita–Taveta County is one of the 6 counties of the Coast region (formerly Coast province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Taita–Taveta District in Coast Province. Size wise it is the 12th largest county, covering an area of 17,080 km2 and the 43rd in terms of population with 284,700 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.

The county borders Makueni and Kitui County to the north, Tanzania and Kwale County to the south, Tanzania to the west and Kilifi to the east.

Taita–Taveta County has 4 Constituencies,  Taveta, Wundanyi, Mwatate, and Voi.

The County headquarters of Taita–Taveta is Mwatate Town.
