Nandi County

Nandi County is one of the 14 counties of the Rift Valley region (formerly Rift Valley province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Nandi District in Rift Valley Province. Size wise it is the 28th largest county, covering an area of 2,885 km2 and the 23rd in terms of population with 753,000 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.

The county borders Uasin Gishu County to the north, Kisumu County to the south, Kakamega and Vihiga to the west and Uasin Gishu to the east.

Nandi County has 6 Constituencies,  Tinderet, Aldai, Nandi Hills, Chesumei, Emgwen, and Mosop.

The County headquarters of Nandi is Kapsabet Town.
