Nyandarua County

Nyandarua County is one of the 5 counties of the Central region (formerly Central province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Nyandarua District in Central Province. Size wise it is the 24th largest county, covering an area of 3,110 km2 and the 33rd in terms of population with 596,300 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.

The county borders Laikipia County to the north, Kiambu County to the south, Nakuru to the west and Nyeri to the east.

Nyandarua County has 5 Constituencies,  Kinangop, Kipipiri, Ol Kalou, Ol Jorok, and Ndaragwa.

The County headquarters of Nyandarua is Ol Kalou Town.
