Migori County

Migori County is one of the 6 counties of the Nyanza region (formerly Nyanza province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Migori District in Nyanza Province. Size wise it is the 29th largest county, covering an area of 2,590 km2 and the 16th in terms of population with 917,200 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.

The county borders Homabay County to the north, Tanzania County to the south, Lake Victoria to the west and Kisii and Narok to the east.

Migori County has 8 Constituencies,  Rongo, Awendo, Suna East, Suna West, Uriri, Nyatike, Kuria West, and Kuria East.

The County headquarters of Migori is Migori Town.
