Marsabit County
Marsabit County is one of the 8 counties of the Eastern region (formerly Eastern province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Marsabit District in Eastern Province. Size wise it is the 2nd largest county, covering an area of 66,920 km2 and the 42nd in terms of population with 291,200 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.
The county borders Ethiopia County to the north, Samburu and Isiolo County to the south, Lake Turkana to the west and Wajir to the east.
Marsabit County has 4 Constituencies, Moyale, North Horr, Saku, and Laisamis.
The County headquarters of Marsabit is Marsabit Town.
