Kericho County
Kericho County is one of the 14 counties of the Rift Valley region (formerly Rift Valley province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Kericho District in Rift Valley Province. Size wise it is the 33rd largest county, covering an area of 2,455 km2 and the 24th in terms of population with 752,400 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.
The county borders Nandi County to the north, Bomet County to the south, Kisumu to the west and Nakuru to the east.
Kericho County has 6 Constituencies, Kipkelion East, Kipkelion West, Ainamoi, Bureti, Belgut, and Sigowet–Soin.
The County headquarters of Kericho is Kericho Town.
