Isiolo County
Isiolo County is one of the 8 counties of the Eastern region (formerly Eastern province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Isiolo District in Eastern Province. Size wise it is the 7th largest county, covering an area of 25,340 km2 and the 46th in terms of population with 143,300 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.
The county borders Marsabit County to the north, Garissa and Tana River County to the south, Samburu and Meru to the west and Wajir to the east.
Isiolo County has 2 Constituencies, Isiolo North, and Isiolo South.
The County headquarters of Isiolo is Isiolo Town.
