Bone marrow

A thick, spongy liquid inside the bones. Bone marrow makes all kinds of blood cells. Red blood cells that carry oxygen, white blood cells that fight infections, and platelets that help blood clot.

 

Bone-Marrow

The spongy material that fills the inner spaces of the bones. It is the place where many blood elements, such as red blood cells, are produced. High doses of radiation can destroy bone marrow during cancer treatment.
