Bomet County

Bomet County is one of the 14 counties of the Rift Valley region (formerly Rift Valley province) and is one of the 47 counties of Kenya that were created by the 2010 constitution. It was curved out of the former Bomet District in Rift Valley Province. Size wise it is the 40th largest county, covering an area of 2,000 km2 and the 26th in terms of population with 730,200 inhabitants as per the 2009 population census.

The county borders Kericho County to the north, Narok County to the south, Nyamira to the west and Nakuru to the east.

Bomet County has 6 Constituencies,  Sotik, Chepalungu, Bomet East, Bomet Central, and Konoin.

The County headquarters of Bomet is Bomet Town.
