The pool is at the Smith hotel is situated at Nkoroi, a settlement between Kiserian and Ongata Rongai. The is well maintained and somehow appears bigger than it really is. It can get quite crowded over the weekends.

The Rongai weather is windy and so the pool tends to get cold an hour before closing time.

The changing rooms are clean but tiny and this aggravates the fact that they are shared between adults and children.  The single shower in the men’s room did not work. The proximity of the women’s and gents’ changing rooms makes them feel as if they are shared as one can get a glimpse of whatever is happening in either room.

There is no baby pool. The shallow end of the swimming pool is used for this purpose. Since the swimming pool is not fenced of from the garden,  it is quite risky for toddlers who are yet to appreciate the danger of water. Parental vigilance is advised when visiting this hotel.
