If you suspect that you have been fraudulently registered as a member of a political party or you are a member of a political party but the party barons are refusing your participation in the party affairs, then you can confirm your membership from the Registrar of Political Parties.
The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) is a state office established under Article 260 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and the Political Parties Act, 2011. The mandate of the office, among others, is to regulate the formation, registration, and funding of political parties.
Here is how to check whether you belong to a political party.
- Login to https://ecitizen.go.ke using your National ID and password
- Find the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties and Click on the get service. A new website opens
- At the bottom of the page click on Check Registration Status
- Click Continue
- Click Complete
A page will open displaying your registration status. If you
need to, you can print your registration status for later use.
